The stay was fantastic, with a cozy room and a full Scottish breakfast that left us wanting more. There are lovely gardens to relax in and a nice lounge area perfect for unwinding. The only hiccup was that we had to walk a bit to get to the dining area, but it really wasn't an issue at all. 😊

Perfect Getaway!
Just spent 3 nights here and it was fab! Diane was so friendly, and breakfast was delicious, especially the home-baked bread! Our room was clean and cozy, and we even got an upgrade, what a surprise! Only bummer was no parking right by the house, but it wasn’t a huge deal. Walks in the area rocked!

We had an amazing group getaway! We explored Cairngorms National Park and hit the slopes at Lecht Ski Resort. The breakfasts were delicious and hearty, and the host made us feel right at home. Our room was spacious and comfortable, perfect for unwinding after a day of adventure. Definitely a spot I'd recommend for friends looking to have fun!
The only downside was that the view from our room wasn't great, but we hardly spent time looking out as we were busy discovering the beautiful surroundings.

A delightful stay in a charming setting! The breakfast was exceptional, featuring fresh-baked bread and accommodating options, including Welsh pastries. The host's warm hospitality created a welcoming atmosphere that made our experience truly memorable. it would have been nice to have more local attractions nearby, and the overall dining options outside the guesthouse were limited.

Charming, Charming, Charming
What a delightful experience! The owner was incredibly welcoming, even washing our muddy biking gear without hesitation. Breakfast options were numerous and delicious, especially the hearty Scottish breakfast that fueled us for adventures in the stunning Cairngorms National Park!

The location is prime for exploring the Cairngorms, with The Whiskey Castle just a stone's throw away and free public parking about 100 meters down the road. Rooms provide ample space, clean conditions, and a cozy atmosphere, perfect for unwinding after a day in the highlands.
Navigating to breakfast involves a bit of a trek, as some rooms aren't directly accessible from the dining area, which may be inconvenient for some. Bathrooms might feel a touch odd being separate from the bedrooms, and while spacious, it can seem like a disconnect. A lack of a TV with streaming options is noted, but for some, that may not be a dealbreaker in this stunning setting.

I recently stayed at the Argyle Guest House in Tomintoul for a night. The welcome from Diane was warm and instantly made me feel at home. The room was cozy and had a comfy king-size bed with thoughtful touches like bubble-bath and hand lotion. Breakfast was delightful, featuring a generous spread, including fresh homemade bread. I particularly enjoyed the homemade soda bread and the famed black pudding. It was a bit odd that the bathroom was a separate room rather than attached, which took some getting used to, but the size of the bathroom was impressive. The local area is beautiful, with great recommendations from Diane for nearby attractions. Pubs in the village served delicious meals, adding to the overall pleasant stay. I really appreciated the consideration for dietary preferences at breakfast too. Would definitely return for more than just a night!
